New update from iBooks might have passed overlooked as just another update. But if you look closely, Apple has just added a feature that in my opinion is the best feature available in iBooks and that separates it from other ebook apps.
The feature added helps kids learn how to read in certain children's books. List of features include:
- Help your children learn to read with the new read-aloud feature included in select children's books from the iBookstore.
- The read-aloud feature uses a real narrator to read the book to you, and in some books, it will even highlight the words as you read along.
- Enhanced books can now automatically play audio or video included with the book.
- Makes iBooks more responsive when opening very long books.
- Addresses an issue where some books may display the same page twice.
So as you can see the feature allows that the text is read aloud while the child can see the text. They now don't need the help of parents when they are just not around. They can now do it by themselves.
The app and update is free to download from the App Store [iTunes Link].
