Facebook Releases Rebuilt iPhone and iPad App; Promised to be Faster

Facebook has released version 5 of their iPhone and iPad app. The app is the version that was rumored to be rebuilt to be faster, and it seems to be supported by the app's description, but yet to see in the works.

Included in the update:

  • Faster and easier to use
  • Scrolling through news feed is faster than ever
  • New banner lets you tap to quickly see more stories – no need to refresh
  • Photos open fast and close with one downward swipe
  • Instant access to your notifications

The update finally brings Timeline to the iPad version.

Facebook is free and available as a universal app (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch) in the App Store [iTunes Link].
