After 9 months, Twitter Finally Releases Its New Look on Their iPad App
It took them 9 months, but finally Twitter released its new look on the iPad. This new look was first introduced in version 4.0 of the iPhone app all the way back in December and it took them all the way to version 5.0 to update the iPad version.
Twitter redesigned the new iPad version from the ground up with the section that you've come to familiarize:
- Home - Timeline, expanded tweets with photos, videos and page summaries
- Connect - see the interactions with other people, mentions, follows, Retweets, etc.
- Discover - find new content, read stories that are popular within your network, see favorites, what's trending, etc.
With today's udpate, Twitter released all new profiles. You can now upload a new "header photo", that's is nothing more than what a "cover photo" would be on a Facebook Timeline or Google+ page. You can also see photo streams of events in full screen mode.

Twitter 5.0 is available for free as a universal app (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch) in the App Store [iTunes Link].
