Apple Debuts WWDC iOS App Ahead of Next Week's Event

As WWDC approaches (June 10), Apple has rollout a new iOS app for the event. The app will let users watch videos of the sessions, browse times, locations, etc, see latest news. The app is intended for those attending WWDC, but is free for everybody to download, certain parts of the app require a developer account. WWDC will be the event where Apple will reveal the future of iOS, OS X, and possibly some hardware news.

The app features:

  • Browse times, locations, and descriptions for sessions, labs, and special events
  • Mark schedule items as favorites with a simple double-tap
  • Watch session videos, available daily
  • Start watching on one iOS device, and pick up where you left off on another
  • Keep up with the latest news, get important notifications, and see daily snapshots
  • View maps to find your way around Moscone West
  • Provide feedback on session content and speakers within the session details view
  • Add your attendee information to Passbook for speedier on-site registration

The app is free and available as a universal app (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch) in the App Store [iTunes Link].
