Textbooks Come to Google Play Books iOS App

Google's Play Books app has been updated. Among the new features, the app finally gets the textbook section Google announced was coming this August. Textbooks are currently available for US users and can be either purchase or rent.

Also included in the update:

  • Highlighting and note-taking are now supported in scanned pages books
  • Added support for rental books
  • Added sepia reading mode
  • Stability and performance improvements

The app is free and available as a universal app (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch) in the App Store [iTunes Link].
