Early today, the jailbreak community shed some light regarding the upcoming jailbreak for iOS 5 and up. The news are welcome as they have kept the users on the dark, but the news are not that good. Early this summer, the Chronic Dev Team at a jailbreak convention showed off the fact that they had 5 exploits to choose from to create the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5. That was at a time were iOS 5 was on beta.

Details of the iPhone 4S Jailbreak Progress

Late last night or early this morning, depending how you see it, iPhone Dev team member Musclenerd the status of the iPhone 4S jailbreak. He showed some images of Cydia on the iPhone 4S, evident of Siri appearing at the bottom. Although it is far from public release, Musclenerd showed that it is possible.

Through iPhone Dev Team member MuscleNerd comes word that Jailbreame.com, method to successfully jailbreaking your iDevice and only method to jailbreak your iPad 2 will no longer be. MuscleNerd states that the domain has been sold to ConceitedApps and it is not trusted and can be use for distributing malware.

Currently, if you want an unlocked iPhone 4 you need to buy one of those unlock iPhone from Apple at $649 and $749 or use a GEVEY Sim Card that unlocks the different iPhone 4 basebands. With the latest iOS 5 beta 2, this last method is rendered useless.
